Title
AWinspire: Your on-line guide to Yamaha AW Hard disk recorders
Description
Bus (or Buss). A route or path along which an electrical signal can travel. Most commonly seen on a mixer (hardware or software), typical busses include the main stereo mix, auxiliary sends, and groups. On AW recorders the QUICK REC function automatically makes the necessary routing to start recording but bussing options will come into play on more sophisticated recordings, on mixdown, or once you start mixing. You can also use busses to perform more sophisticated recording or mixdown techniques.
Playing a musical instrument is tough enough in itself. Playing a musical instrument alongside someone else doubles the potential for delight and disaster. As for playing in a band… Well, you’ve got to be crazy, really, haven’t you?
And if you can just about hack it in the garage, or in front of a home crowd at a local gig, the cold, clammy hand of reality will surely descend for most of us when we first listen back to a recording, and try to rationalize that low-level, muddy mix with the crisp, punchy, in-your-face ‘record’ we thought we were making.
