“Supporting families of infants and toddlers with special needs by enhancing their development and relationships both at home and in their community.” A Step Ahead in Pierce County (ASAP) was founded in 2001 by the Executive Director, Candy Watkins. We serve approximately 370 children with special needs each year. 95% of our services are provided in natural environments. ASAP embraces enrollment of children of all races, religions, and nationalities.
