- The Aoibhneas Foundation, a new Irish charity, has been established in Dublin, Ireland, to implement an inclusive, comprehensive approach to eradicating Violence in the Home (Domestic Violence) in Ireland and elsewhere.
- Under a five-year strategic plan, the Foundation aims to build on the fifteen years of experience in research and crisis-intervention management in the "Aoibhneas" Women's Refuge in Dublin. In particular, it aims to address additional challenges such as the prevention of Violence in the Home, and post-crisis personal development of victims, including, most importantly, children.
- This fund-raising event will increase awareness of children living with Violence in the Home and all proceeds will benefit the Aoibhneas Foundation.
