Aleksey's Imports was founded in January 2005 by Alexei Khimenko, President and Owner of the Company. Originally from Moscow, Alexei began touring as a professional dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet Grigorovich Theatre in 1990 at the age of seventeen. After more than a decade of international performance he retired in 2001 and moved to Nashville with his wife, Mayumi Hanabusa, who had also been his dance partner for several years.
