Created in 2002 by AIG Hawaii, Hot Spots is a community initiative to increase public awareness about the dangers of speeding, especially around school zones. The program has since identified 50 dangerous speeding areas near schools, across the state. Several times each year, our employees join forces with school students, teachers and police officers to remind drivers to slow down via posters, banners and electronic signs that post each driver's speed.
