- I'm a self-learned artist for whom expression through drawing, painting, photography and poetry has been a part of my life since early childhood. My interest in nature first sidetracked me into a masters´degree in Biology. Unsatisfied with too much theory and not enough experience I went on a walkabout for a number of years. I traveled and worked around the Australian continent, New Zealand, Canada and bits and pieces of Europe. Gradually I became engrossed with backpacking through remote wilderness areas. Places where there is still peace of heart and mind to be found. Places where I could experience the extatic joy brought on by deep dark forests, breathtaking mountain landscapes, pure, clean, fresh-tasting rushing glacier rivers, untrodden snow white beaches and divine sunrises. It was a wandering, homeless life but somehow I was happy and content. My creative urge expressed itself in those years mainly through photography.
