3DN The End of History and the Last Man
The End of History and the Last Man
- I highly recommend this book for the philosophical understanding of human conflict -
- What is interesting for my purposes is Fukuyama's explanation of the need for recognition. Much of the theory of relationships is based on Human Needs forming the structure of human organizations. If there is a need for recognition that has been the source of conflict throughout human history, then we will need to account for that in the new structures we would propose. Actually though, it seems likely to me that this need would be met if each of us had both the opportunity to be secure in a Self-help Corporation and had the opportunity to compete in a flat world.
