2Sprout is a developer platform/technology allowing real-time extraction and distribution of updates from any website on the Internet.
Unlike the existing data syndication technologies that rely on periodic polling for updates, 2Sprout is entirely event-driven; with the ability to be notified directly at the very instant an update occurs.
Upon receiving a notification, 2Sprout connects to the remote webpage and is able to isolate and extract all the qualitative (blog posts, headings, comments, etc.) and quantitative (dates, prices, temperatures, etc.) properties.
2Sprout then translates this data into a standardized schema, with the ability to accurately preserve its intended context. 2Sprout then broadcasts this data to any system running the 2Sprout client, which then allows developers to tap into the feed via the client API, and create applications and web-services using our real-time stream of data.
