In 1982, Jane Fonda's Workout was released on RCA Selectavision. The format ultimately failed, but VHS editions were also released and history was made as the home video revolution was underway. The Original 1982 Workout sold millions of copies. Fonda introduced the word “workout” to a nation and fueled the fitness craze that would continue throughout the 1990s, simultaneously proving to be a keen businesswoman.
