Angela Hartfiled works with 12Angel.com as an Angelic Advisor. Do you have a personal statement that best describes you?
- My mission is to empower others to experience freedom and authentic capability in their choices and in their lives. From relationships to health matters, I have compassion for every single soul who wants to be reminded of his/her unique identity in the world!
Do you have a motto or favorite quote that guides you?

When and how did you first discover you had the gift to help people?
- The first time I saw one of my guardian angels, I was four years old. There is a rather long back story to what transpired prior to seeing my angel. This event so profoundly impacted my life. The complete feeling of peace and love that I felt knowing that this beautiful being was with me always gave me so much comfort. I completely trusted this visit from my angel and knew that I would always have this help. I would share with others about whatever my angel would tell me.
- I grew up in a strong Catholic family. There is a belief in angels, but the Church doctrine has strong feelings about the role of the angels. I knew that the angels were a gift from God to help us close the perceived gap that we all feel from God. I learned how to discern what and who to tell things to. A lot of times, I would have visions that would assist someone with a situation. I would share what I had been given, but not reveal how I came upon the information. I guess you could say that I kept my connection to the angels covert.
- There are a lot of benefits working with the angelic guidance. I would know outcomes and I was able to avoid a lot of the teenage angst that others may have gone through. I would work on honing my connection on a daily basis. I knew that I would have visions or would know things. I didn't understand that angels can also give us information through our feelings. I was very sensitive. I got accused of being dramatic. I just felt things at the core of my being and so it was difficult to ignore these feelings that I would receive. How do you tell someone you have been instructed to respect that they are not being honest?
- I found an outlet in writing. I would write stories that would be published in the school magazine. I also found a respite in being out in nature. I connected with the elemental beings-the fairies and divas. I found that they would allow me a safe haven to release my feelings and I never had to tell anyone what was going on with me.
- I met Doreen Virtue in 2000. At the time, I lived in El Paso, Texas. I was married and the mother of four amazing daughters. I had raised my daughters to connect with their angels. It was okay and accepted to tune in to their guidance and share whatever it was that they got. During this time, Doreen was teaching healing retreats in Hawaii. We briefly connected and it was decided that my husband Duke and I would go to Hawaii for her retreat. Our whole world changed with that trip. I knew that I needed to move to Hawaii. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else.
- A lot of synchronistic events transpired that led us to our move to the Big Island of Hawaii. I was a Biology teacher at the High School which I eventually left to have a full time practice that involves working with the angels. I am the Events Coordinator for Angel Therapy®, Inc. I am also good friends with Doreen and you will find us out on a dive boat on many an occasion.
How did you get started in this business?
- I basically have always given angel readings to people. I began reading professionally (receiving payment for connecting with the angels) in 1996. I completed both my ATP® and Mediumship certifications in 2002. I love the healing that occurs when someone is able to connect with a deceased loved one.
Do you have any advanced degrees or specialized training?
- Working as an Angel Therapy Practitioner® and certified by the well-known Dr. Doreen Virtue, I am also a psychic medium, intuitive reader/healer, Reiki Master, and Professional Spiritual Teacher. I teach many courses such as, Connecting with the Angels, Working with Romance Angels, Mediumship, Manifesting, among many others, in addition to conducting Angel and Mediumship readings.
- Living in Kona, Hawaii does not limit my availability, as I holds many classes outside my area. Previously teaching courses throughout California and Vancouver, Canada, as well as traveling to Japan bi-annually since 2003 to teach "Connecting with the Angels," I began an Angelic Channel Certification course in Tokyo in September 2006. Angela's life purpose is teaching and counseling others by providing information and direction in working with the angelic realm.
Do you offer special services or insights that customers might find helpful?
- I help individuals heal wounds, break patterns, "be present" with themselves, in addition to offering them insight about positive future steps. With the help of the angels, I can get to the core of issues at a soul level - a drawing out of information that an individual may not be aware of. I am able to connect to past lives to find issues that need to be resolved. I am also very in tune with the departed loved ones that are with us to assist us in healing.
Do you do any charity or non-profit work?
- I participate in Relay for Life sponsored by the American Cancer Society. It is a sunset to sunrise event that raises funds and awareness concerning cancer. I am also an avid supporter of the Saint Jude's Children Hospital. Additionally, I volunteer at the Ironman event that is held here on the Big Island.
Why do you love what you do?
- I believe that everyone possesses the ability to connect with the angels. It is a matter of opening up your senses and trusting the messages that come to you. This is exactly what I teach my clients to do. Driven by my passion, I hope to teach as many people as possible how to communicate with the angels for themselves and others.
What times are you usually available?
- I am available every day. I am usually online later in the afternoon due to the time zone differences between Hawaii and the Mainland.
