Pofadderskloof is part of the Bredasdorp Mountains that form the northernedge of theAgulhasPlain - an area that is well known for its botanical importance (Cowling et al 1992, Mustart et al 1997), 34 29'29.54S 19 48'16.69E. The entire property is covered with Mountain Fynbos (from 300 – 550masl), about 60% of which is on deep, moist, acid sands.
