aima hails from the Windy City and her vocal versatility ranging from R&B, pop to rock and jazz have been heard from the Cotton Club in Chicago to inspirational music at the BB King's Gospel Brunch. As a songwriter (whose writing partner is the amazing Alex Alessandroni) Naima writes in various genres, but her heart is in Jazz. Her jazz roots started in traditional style and her personal favorites are Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan and Nancy Wilson.
