Microelectronic rework is a highly specialized field, with a heritage in defense and aerospace electronic specifications. The term "rework" is applied to processes which effectively restore a defectiveproduct to its original condition. For example, a hermetic package which has been de-lidded by our machine and resealed will still pass all hermetic tests, and will measure exactly the same as it did before reworking.
