Founded by Jean Vanier in 1964, L'Arche is an International Federation of communities where people with developmental disabilities and those who help them (assistants) work and live together in a commitment of mutual friendship and growth. Founded in 1973, the L'Arche community in Winnipeg is composed of 27 people with a developmental disability living with approximately 25 assistants in our 6 houses and 2 apartments.
