Description
My name is Jeremiah J White and I was born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Growing up, I was always known for my love of art. As a child, I would spend hours drawing diligently with whatever I could get my hands on. I would study books on art technique and practice until everything was satisfactory. If you were to look in my backpack during my grade school years, you would see just as many drawings and art materials as you would school curriculum. Eventually, I would go on to high school where I was set apart from all of the art classes to study any field of art I chose on my own with limited help from instructors. This is where I was introduced to oil painting. I was soon rewarded for my painting abilities with a college scholarship for a painting which was only my 3rd. It was a portrait.
This pattern has since only grown stronger. Gathering influence from nearly all realms of realism and the works of the old masters as well as the new, I have spent years developing my talents outside of the public eye. I try to combine time tested traditional techniques as well as new techniques and ideas that have just surfaced over the past hundred years. Ever growing and developing in my abilities, I have a thirst for knowledge and I use just about any resource available to quench it.
