Welcome to AboutUs.org!

Hello, my name is Kristina.

I noticed your contributions and I think this would go great on the TheHeer.com page. This is a DomainPage that links directly to the site in several places - check it out.

I'm excited that you've joined AboutUs.org, a community of people collaborating and editing to build this wiki. Welcome! Let me know if you have any questions along the way - I'd love to hear from you! You can contact me in a variety of ways, the best being to leave a message on my talk page at User talk:KristinaWeis. You may also join the AboutUs WebIRC to chat or ask a question, and below are some links that I have found useful...

Welcome to the community!

Hey, I have redirected TheHeer page to TheHeer.com. What do you think. Let me know if you've any questions or need help. Best, Asad | *~talk~* 21:22, 11 December 2007 (PST)

Hi and welcome

I've been following the work you've been doing on all the Heer pages and subpages - great content! Let me know if you'd like help in prettying up the pages: adding pictures, etc. FatimaRaja 21:12, 12 December 2007 (PST)

Prettying pages

Well, one of the simplest things to do when starting out is simply to go to another AboutUs page you like the look of, and copy the wiki code over. That's how I built my user page, back when I started out.

If you've got pictures to put up, then you have to first Special:Upload the image (make sure it's not too big, and that it's copyright-free).

Then simply put this wiki code where you want the picture to show up: [[Image:nameofpicture.xyz]] .

Then there are refinements, such as wrapping text around a picture: [[Image:nameofpicture.xyz|left]] or |right.

The things to notice are that image files are designated Image:..., and all links are in square brackets. The pipe | means that you're about to give a special instruction regarding the picture or link (for an example of a link, click edit and see how I've linked to my user page.

For a more detailed account of all the things you can do with pictures, take a look here:

Hope that helps you start out. And keep in mind that wiki edits can always be reversed, so feel free to experiment. If you feel you've done something wrong, roll it back, or leave a message for one of the AboutUs staff.

external vs. internal links

Could you check my change here [1] to see the difference between external and internal links? The external links look like spam. Could you please either eliminate them or convert them to internal links to the DomainPage TheHeer.com? Thank you. TedErnst (talk) 14:54, 21 December 2007 (PST)

yeah its okeay rather thanks for editing help TedErnst,i will chagne xternal links into internal links with in few days, btw why xternal links of own site not allow? and wat about the aboutus policy You own the content you create. You may use it however and wherever you want.

???? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by TheHeer (talkcontribs) .

That policy says you're not restricted from using your content elsewhere, it's not intended to give you free license to do whatever you want here. Actually, you are encouraged to do whatever you want here, but so is everyone else, which is where conflict comes from, when ideas conflict. And the reason we don't want all those external links on other domains is that you already have external links on the TheHeer.com page, which is great. And we'd like to encourage using the internal linking process, which is unique to wiki, showing all the interconnections between websites. Make sense? Thanks! TedErnst (talk) 07:16, 22 December 2007 (PST)

I see you've changed your linking style. Could you take a look here [2] and see the further changes I think are best? There is no need to write http://aboutus.org/TheHeer.com, you can simply write TheHeer.com. See the difference? One is external and the other is internal. And the "what links here" function only works with the internal. I recommend changing to this internal style. Also, please see InternalLinkingGuide. Thanks! TedAErnst 11:05, 24 December 2007 (PST)

In Australia the spoken language is English

You are making the theheer.com/australia in Italian. Igorberger 06:34, 26 December 2007 (PST)

Yeah coz i wanna contents in italian too

TheHeer 08:07, 26 December 2007 (PST)

Then name your sub directories by language not by country, and make sure the actual sub directory content is in that language! So if you have theheer.com/italian the the actual page on your Website theheer.com/italian needs to be in Italian as well. Please do not duplicate pages under a sub folder name with exact content in the same language, they will be deleted. Igorberger 08:12, 26 December 2007 (PST)

Feel free to write in multiple languages on TheHeer.com. The subpages didn't make any sense, so I redirected them all to the main page. Let's talk this over if it's not clear what I did and why. TedErnst (talk) 08:37, 26 December 2007 (PST)

lolxx wat a speedy advise, i know u r so genious 09:48, 26 December 2007 (PST)

TheHeer.com

TedErnst and I cleaned up everything for you following Google Quality Guidelines for Website building. My advise to you if you want to have many languages on your site is to build sub folders on your domain for each language. And on AboutUs TheHeer.com page make reference to the languages. Unless you have a considerable amount of content it does not justify to have a seperate language article on AboutUs. As far as your affiliate program goes, please explain it on your domain and then make reference to it on TheHeer.com. I also recommend to make text version on your domain for search engine user agents to reference. Google Flash indexing
Please let me or TedErnst know if you need any help. Regards, Igorberger 18:08, 26 December 2007 (PST)

ahan:d ,u help me alots thanx 4 that,,,God will bless u 4 that.
