Description
The Missouri AFL-CIO is comprised of unions in Missouri that are affiliated with the national American Federation of Labor - Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO). The Missouri AFL-CIO represents over 500,000 union members and retirees in Missouri. Approximately 391 unions and councils are affiliated with the state federation.
The AFL-CIO Community Services Liaisons serve as links between the Missouri AFL-CIO and central labor councils and United Ways in communities in Missouri. Their key areas of responsibility include:
The Missouri AFL-CIO has a contractual agreement with the Missouri Division of Workforce Development called the Dislocated Worker Program, which is funded by the United States Department of Labor.
