Self listed as the #1 message board for Broome County! However, as no research into other message boards in the area have been made this must be taken with a grain of salt.

Unfortunately BCVoice is not a reliable source. The threads are dominated by a handful of uninformed illerates who constantly bash local businesses and politicians. Nothing read there is to be believed. They keep their list of members hidden since it was found that they have an abnormally high number of members that have posted nothing and if the list were trimmed to those that were active it would be a reduction of at least 75%. They regularly close off posting to guests to supposedly teach them a lesson and try to force registration.
Value
At one time the value of BcVoice.com as reported by the various sites ranged $2000 - $2500. Other short term sites appeared at one point and evidently had some kind of impact. Though those other sites are gone the value for BcVoice.com now ranges $500 - $800

Not run as well as it could be seeing the number of nonsense and crap post there
Since the original owner sold it years ago it has gone down hill. Any posts, even if they are just questions, concerning the current owner that don't paint that owner in an angelic light are summarily deleted and the posters are banned, even if the questions are valid.
They once ran a sister site that was going to out do the local news media and become the leader, but after about 10 topics got spammed, they locked the topics but never cleaned them up and finally the sister site went down months later. A great lack of effort turned that sister site into a joke.
