Difference between revisions of "ProFollow"

In our effort to grow a valuable guide to websites, we want to give link love to good sites with good AboutUs pages.

Since we don't want to give link love to "bad actors" such as parked and adult sites, scams, etc. we decided to default to NoFollow. But unlike many sites (Facebook, Wikipedia, Twitter) that make all external links added by their users NoFollow, AboutUs.org is a place that will remove that NoFollow attribute and give "DoFollow" link to people (and sites) making good contributions.

To nominate a website's AboutUs page for "ProFollow", please:

• Confirm that the website you would like to ProFollow is a "good actor" on the web
• Edit and build a great domain page for the site here at AboutUs (we want to reward good content) by editing it with the suggestions and instructions on our How to improve AboutUs pages page.
  • Required elements: a summary (at the top of the page - "click here to sum up"), unique description of the site (in your own words, not copy/pasted from the website), contact info (phone number and/or email address), and relevant tags. (An image is also highly encouraged.)

• When the site's page looks great (or if you have questions):
  • email us at (subject = "ProFollow")
  • or chat with us (works best Mon-Fri 9:30-5:30 PST)
