'''Random Function'''

==Description==
'''Random Function''' is a free, monthly experimental electronic music and sonic arts event held at [[Watershed.co.uk|The Watershed Media Centre]], Bristol, UK. Its principal aim is to provide a flexible, open forum to showcase experimental sound work in the Bristol and Bath area, and to bring likeminded people together. The event was originally founded by Sonic Arts Network director, Dr Joseph Hyde in 2003 and initially grew out of the MA in Creative Music Technology at Bath Spa University, but has since become an established event in its own right and is open to all.

Whilst Random Function places no rules upon performers and is essentially an open event, a strong emphasis is placed upon short performances of an experimental nature. Improvisation, collaboration, and discussion are also encouraged.
