The FDBD was established on July 1, 2002 through a merger of the Bellevue Fire Department and the Dayton Fire Department. The FDBD protects the communities of Bellevue and Dayton, in Northern Kentucky. These cities are located in Campbell County and are bounded by the Ohio River to the north, the City of Newport to the west, the City of Ft. Thomas to the east and south, and the City of Woodlawn to the south.
