- Born in Hopewell, Dr. David Ellis graduated from Hopewell High School, Virginia Commonwealth University, and the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. After two years in the Navy in Key West, Florida, Dr. Ellis moved his family home to Hopewell to open his private practice. With the help of his dedicated staff including his wife, Julia, Dr. Ellis has enjoyed serving Hopewell since 1978. Dr. Ellis is the proud father of two. He and his wife live in Chester and are both active members of Wesley United Methodist Church in Hopewell.
