Prevailing solutions are insufficient or deficient The prevailing methods for increasing the amount of fresh water are desalination and purification/ filtration.
Desalination is attractive for urban production volumes of 1000 cubic per day and more, where water transportation infrastructure is available.
An ideal solution for Rural, Industrial and Relief needs EWA is economically viable already at 5,000 litres of water per day (5 cubic meters), reaching the optimum efficiency at around 300 cubic meters of water per day. Infrastructure is not required and mobile units are also available.
