C. Porter Vaughan, Inc. Realtors was formed in June of 1967 by its founder, C. Porter Vaughan, Jr. A graduate of the University of Richmond, Porter Vaughan was installed as the President of the Richmond Association of Realtors in 1963 and was named their "Realtor of the Year" in 1988. The Virginia Association of Realtors installed him as its President in 1970 and in that same year recognized him as its "Realtor of the Year." He remained Chairman of the Board until July 2008.
