On January 7, 1958, a group of eleven Christians held the first organizational meeting concerning the start of a Christian Church in Colonial Heights, Kingsport, TN. Their efforts were brought to fruition in the purchase of the house at 201 Colonial Heights Road, which was adapted for use as Bible school and worship facilities. Dedication of the building was held on March 16, 1958 with 41 charter members present.
