The Cambria County Association for the Blind and Handicapped (CCABH) has been serving the communities of Cambria County for over 75 years. The first public efforts began in 1927, under the auspices of the Johnstown Lions Club. By 1943, the first workshop had opened in Johnstown. In 1967 the county was in the forefront of the movement to establish vocational programs and other services and to extend its reach to persons with other disabilities as well as visual impairment and blindness.
