Bryant Distributing Company was founded in 1934 by Mr. Jefferson Bryant, whose entire working capital was comprised of himself, a 1934 Ford (rumble seat) and whatever gas was in its tank. He had no cash, working capital, nor any formally-established credit. Inventory was advanced by the distiller, secured only by his good name- and paid for in arrears following sale to retailers.
