Benton County is Arkansas' second most populated, and #1 fastest growing County. Located in the northwest corner (NWA) it is part of the Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers Metropolitan area and is home to the company headquarters of Wal-mart, JB Hunt and Tyson. The County seat is Bentonville, which was formed in 1836 and is named after Thomas Hart Benton - a Senator from Missouri who was instrumental in getting Arkansas added to the Union.
