- Jackie had recently moved to Cape Cod from Montreal, Canada and was working as a graphic designer, while Cris was living in Plymouth running her own business as a tile painter and working at a local café. The two artists crossed paths and decided to share studio space in a small yellow building with a private courtyard. With the vision of an artistsí collaborative in mind they decided on the name Yellow House Studio, which was inspired from Van Gogh's similar goal for his "yellow house" in Arles France (it also had a small courtyard attached!).
