Word Web Vocabulary is a cutting-edge language curriculum currently being used in over 300 locations within 42 states. It is also being used in Canada, Germany and Japan. Word Web Vocabulary is based on Greek and Latin root words, suffixes and prefixes. It is known as the "Code Breaker Curriculum" and eliminates the need for memorization. Features

Word Web has a wide variety of interactive and exciting ways in which students learn new words. 36 lessons cover an entire school year. Six lessons make up a chapter, the first five of which introduce new words, while the sixth is a review. Each lesson lasts one week. Therefore, the six chapters in each volume cover thirty-six weeks, the length of most school years. Each lesson is enriched with model sentences, graphic images and literary references. Word Web Vocabulary's format includes special features such as Cool Connections, Bonus Blasts, Awesome Associations and other elements.

Word Web Vocabulary presents words at several levels of difficulty which meets the needs of students of varying capabilities. The range of material available enables teachers to select and shape it to their students' needs and abilities.

Elinor Miller is the creator of Word Web Vocabulary. Her experience includes working as a classroom teacher for over twenty years before she founded The Banner School, a private nondenominational elementary and middle school, in Frederick, Maryland.

Elinor in the role of curriculum specialist was responsible for the school receiving many grants and statewide recognition for its interdisciplinary curriculum and its social studies and science programs.

Elinor is also a freelance writer whose materials on education, parenting and birdwatching have appeared in numerous publications. She is also the founder of Sage Education Enterprises through which a variety of educational materials are available.
