- Windstorm Creative was founded in 1989 to create a publishing house with author-centric ethics and risk-taking innovation. All of the original staff, most of which are still with the company, are authors or artists themselves. This tradition has become a requirement. All staff members -- from editors to mailroom managers -- must be published authors or artists. This ensures that staff know what it's like to be on both sides of an issue.
