- Wiltgen Jewelers & Gift World established in 1944 by Clarence Wiltgen, has been owned and operated continuously by the Wiltgen family. Ervin Wiltgen joined his brother in 1953 after the Korean War. Clarence sold his share to his brother Ervin in 1965 due to health issues. Ervin has been president and major stockholder ever since. His son Eric Wiltgen VP and his daughter Stacy Dodds Director are the only other stockholders. Over the years Wiltgens has continued to grow. It started in a one-room store above the old Iowa State Bank building. Next it moved to a location east of the Courthouse. Then finally to its present location, in 1965 the building was tore down and rebuilt in its current location. In 1969 the new building was extended to alley, in 1979 Wiltgens expanded into the storefront directly west the former Ryan's Musicland. Then in 1999 they went one more front west formally the State Street Diner. Now with over 6000 sq feet of show room space for fine jewelry, gifts, watches and clocks. Wiltgens was established to bring fine quality jewelry and gifts to north central Iowa. It has been our mission to service what we sell and offer the extra touch. We repair jewelry of all types, watches, clocks and have a complete engraving and awards department. Wiltgens also offer gift baskets and a complete bridal registry.
