Captain Bill Warner of Willie Wonka has made Ludington his summer home since 1982. Bill has boated & fished almost every port on Michigan's shoreline. Ludington sportfishing is second to none. A recent study by Michigan Sea Grant, an organization of MSU and U of M, compiled from charter captain surveys from across the state, showed the average catch for 2003 on Ludingtion charter boats to be among the best on Lake Michigan. The average catch from Ludingtion for 2005 was over 9.
