We've been in the greenhouse and garden center business since 1968. Our seasonal garden center is open from May through July. Wheeler Farm Gardens has developed a reputation in central Connecticut for superb quality of annual and perennial bedding plants and a major U.S. retail supplier of Alpine geraniums through mail order. We believe in the beauty and versatility of geraniums, particularly the Alpines, which are quickly catching on as a popular geranium throughout the United States.
In 1861, Captain Charles Wheeler left his successful dairy farm to Charles Larson, a dedicated and hard-working farm manager. The 'Wheeler' name was retained out of respect for the Captain by Bill and Evelyn Larson, who are dedicated to preserving the same level of quality and service that has been firmly planted at Wheeler Farm for three generations. We're very excited about our new Japanese garden, our homage to the beauty and simplicity of the gardens of Japan, featuring a koi pond, tea house, and bridge.
