Description

Perhaps it is the official start of the World Cup, or the fact that I seem to have picked the absolute least secure platform for my site, but I've decided to make some significant changes to VMGuru.com. I found it increasingly more difficult to find the necessary time to maintain the site in its current format. I've decided to change the site into a personal development blog. Before people say "Oh No! He's going the MySpace route", I want to guarantee that the new format will allow me to easily update the site based on my regular weekly work activity. In my new position with vizioncore I am finding that about 180% of my week is dedicated to researching new technologies surrounding not only VMware, but other technologies as well. While I won't be giving out any inside secrets , I will be keeping a blog of the various activity that I am able to research and dissect. This will allow me to very easily post useful technical information, code samples, new technology information, and other various forms of interesting material. The information I post will be unique and have my own little twist, so you know there is a good chance for political incorrectness or me upsetting one vendor or another.

I have been able to convince the bossman that the site has advantages not only for myself, but for him as well, so I also get to steal some of our marketing resources to refit some of the graphics and page layout. I am actually quite excited for the changes. I will make sure that all the old material is still easily accessible and will try to keep as much functionality as possible. I will happily accept suggestions, words of encouragement, or web portal platform advice for the next week and a half while the site is under construction.
