- We were founded in 1985 by American "kids" who had lived in the Creole Petroleum Corporation (later Lagoven) BCF (Lake Maracaibo area) oil camps such as Tia Juana, La Salina, Lagunillas, Tamare, and Maracaibo. We also include our friends and schoolmates whose dads worked for other companies such as Mene Grande and the "service" companies and who lived in nearby Cabimas, Las Morochas, and Ciudad Ojeda. We have expanded over the years by welcoming those from other locations in Venezuela such as Jusepín, Maturín, Caripito, Quiriquire, Caracas, Amuay, San Tomé, Anaco, etc., especially if they aren't being served by organizations dedicated to their area. (For locations being served, I will post links.) Of course, we welcome our Venezuelan friends and classmates from those days!
