- C.A.P.E. stands for the Cajun Advanced Picosatellite Experiment. C.A.P.E. is a group of students, alumni and faculty of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette dedicated to creating engineers with real world practice and design experience. Along the way, C.A.P.E. happens to build and launch picosatellites which fit the [www.cubesat.org CubeSat] form factor. These individuals form a team which have so far built the first Louisiana based artificial satellite, currently awaiting launch. The team is now hard at work defining the goals and missions of CAPE2 and determining the future of the CAPE project.
