Description
I started this website in April of 2004, hoping to fill the need for reference material pertaining to TV lamp collecting. I couldn't find a source of comprehensive data in any book or on any website, and hoped it would serve to provide the information that collectors need. Someone once described the site as an online TV lamp museum, and I suppose that's as good a description as any.
Given the volume of "stuff" presented here, I've tried to make it as easy as possible to navigate. The photo galleries are sorted by both lamp manufacturers and subject matter, and all the lamps shown can be found in both areas. All sorts of articles pertaining to the hobby are present, as well as book reviews, links to relevant websites, and a frequently updated "News Log".
I've always gotten numerous inquiries as to purchasing TV lamps from this website, and on June 7th of 2006 opened the tvlamps.net Attic, an online store specifically trading in vintage TV lamps. I take the store very seriously, and customer service is foremost in my mind, but commerce is not what drives this site. My priority will always be to share information regarding TV lamps with those interested in the subject. I'm a true TV lamp fanatic, and I hope you will be too.
