We are a London based satellite company. We manufacture and supply satellite receivers and all size dishes. We have an in depth knowledge of aerials and all types of satellites from multi system [motorised] to fixed dish systems.
Company History
The founder members of Tursat have been involved in the satellite industry since the start of domestic satellite television revolution back in the late eighties.
Managing Director Metin Sahin started his satellite career installing motorised and fixed systems for fellow Turkish speaking friends and family. After only a few months he found word-of-mouth had enabled him to supply and install to many other fellow Turks. He attended Hackney College, doing a City & Guilds Radio & TV Engineering course. This included a section on Satellites, which Metin excelled at. Part of his course was to do some work experience. His class tutor sent Metin to a locally based company in Hackney, PTSI. They where a franchise of NSI-National Satellite Installations- and did work for many of the High Street stores, namely Curry's, Dixon's, Radio Rentals, DER, Co-op, Comet and Multivision. Metin very quickly showed he knew a lot about satellites and was offered a full time job with PTSI. Metin stayed with PTSI for a couple of years. After leaving PTSI, Metin worked for TAS / SKY in Home Service for several years. Metin had always had ideas of having his own satellite business and after leaving TAS / SKY, Metin opened his shop "Tursat" in a prime site shop, in Green Lanes, Haringey, North London.
