Description
There are three purposes for this website: to provide a service to members of the Trevithick Society, to provide information about the Society to non-members and as an educational resource.
The Trevithick Society, a Registered Charity (no. 246586), is the organisation for everybody interested in industrial archaeology and all aspects of the industrial past in Cornwall.
Membership is open to all who are interested in the region's great industrial past, whether or not they live in Cornwall.
The Society takes its name from one of Britain's foremost inventors and pioneers of the Industrial Revolution, Richard Trevithick, a Cornishman whose name is inseparable from the development of steam power.
