About Us
Tim Bowen Antiques is run from their showrooms opposite the home of Tim and Betsan Bowen in the estuary village of Ferryside, near Carmarthen in West Wales. They specialise in the sale of oak and country furniture, folk art, country pottery and spongeware, samplers, quilts and Welsh blankets.
Tim founded the business following a 13 year "apprenticeship" working for Richard Bebb in Kidwelly, West Wales, one of the leading authorities on Welsh oak furniture and folk art. Previous to that he spent a few years working in a West Wales auction room.
Tim is happy discussing the origins of a particular style of chair or table, but he also enjoys the simple decorative pleasure of country furniture and folk art.
