Description
In 2002 Erick Weinstetter created Major League Online with his webmaster Huy Tran. After a successful season, MLO gave the winning Clan Captain of the Team Fortress Classic Hunted League (TFHL), a Video Graphx card by Radeon. That was won by MLO's first Champion H-() Hunted Only.
In 2003 Huy Tran became part owner of MLO. That season MLO added two new leagues Major League Counter Strike (MLCS) and Major League Fortress (MLF). MLCS had a $600 Pro Purse and MLF had a $500 Pro Purse. TFHL meanwhile would still give out a Radeon GFX card to its winning clan captain. MLCS took off and had about 25 clans and the winning clan was Marai.Max. MLF struggled and never got bigger than 9 clans. ][ Insurrection took home the title and $200 (clan captain opted for server usage instead) H-() dropped out of TFHL and the league almost didnt survive. It did and -=MHS=- Massive Headshots won the title. MLF would not return but MLCS took off. Starting late in 2003 and paying out $750 in season 2! MLCS grew to over 100 clans. We had 2 Conferences , each with its own champion. Sick Unity and Silent Effect were named MLCS Conference Champions in early 2004. TFHL would run its third season and was still TFC's only Hunted League ever. -=MHS=- would win season 3 which saw a slight growth to TFHL.
2004 was expecting the launch of an all new website for Janurary 1. The third for MLO, but it never got finished and worked properly so in August 2004 MLO changed directions. Cody Austin now had come onboard to help run MLO was also a pending partner. He helped launched a new site in record time. Due to issues with staff and the complex nature of running the leagues and websites MLO cancelled its seasons for the rest of 2004.
