Theatre Babylon grew out of "Cabaret Babylon", a two evening, monthly performance of music, poetry, storytelling, theater and performance art curated and hosted by DJ Hamilton in his studio/performance space, the Eastlake Studio. Over time DJ started to invite other artists within his circle of friends to take on the curator "duties". . . inviting their friends and associates in the artistic community to perform. This network of performance artists, writers, directors, actors and designers coalesced into a body of artistic associates and the embryonic stage of Theatre Babylon was formed. Four stepped forward to devote their time, energy and creativity to take the "Cabaret" and move it closer to being a "Theater" . . . Emily Force, William Cole , Jonathan Foster and Heidi Heimarck. The five associates all had many different areas of artistic expression but all shared a love of writing and the written word.
