It became our ambition to achieve "The American Great Loop" around 3 years ago. It was some-where between achieving the 211 locks that the French canals had to offer and meeting a couple of Canadian Yachties in the Hemmingway marina, Cuba. Explaining they where heading south to explore the Caribbean, and that they'd actually traveled from Lake Superior via the Mississippi to their present location.
