Description
The Abode of the Message, founded by Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan, celebrated its twenty-fifth year in June of 2000. Our community continues to evolve as a residence for persons who stay over periods of years and who either live in our main complex or have built houses on the acreage; a place to sojourn for several months as a community member; or as a school for Sufi Studies. The community embraces such diverse activities as the those listed to the right.
Pir Zia Inayat Khan, recently initiated as the Pir for the Sufi Order International, resides at The Abode of the Message, and currently offers a series of presentations on Sundays in addition to working with the Sufi Order International Thursday evening classes.
The Sufi Path has been called "The Religion of the Heart" by Pir-o-Murshid Hazrat Inayat Khan, whose teachings are the continuing inspiration of our community and continue to guide our studies. One may explore that path at the Abode of the Message.
