Well first off, it's about fun! And secondly, but just as importantly, this site was built to allow for tennis enthusiasts across the world to sign up and be made, "Available for a hit!" That's right, have you ever been in a situation where you wished you could play tennis but didn't have anyone to play with? Or perhaps on vacation, or on business, and wanting to play tennis? Some people view the "Mates" portion of the website as a potential dating service. Tennis Mates is NOT a dating service! If users are not cordial and respectful when messaging other players, regardless of gender, Tennis Mates reserves the right to refuse service to any player not within the boundary of our terms.
The service is currently Free to sign up and yes, we are looking for sponsorships to assist us in eventually NOT having to make this site a fee based site. Thank you all and we look forward to providing each and every level of tennis player, no matter where they are in the world or what their skill level is, the ability to find a fellow tennis player on any given day, of any skill set, anywhere, anytime.... AND PLAY!
We ask that in return for this free service people please tell others via this "Tell a Friend" page, and or print out this "Spread the Word" Word Document and hang it up on a bulletin board at college, work, the club or courts or common area. That would help us all a great deal, and especially for those players short on players in their specific areas.
