- I was born in Alberta, Canada and raised in Ontario, where I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Environmental Studies at Trent University. Immediately after college, I joined the Peace Corps and was assigned to Burkina Faso, West Africa as a Project Forester. I continued that same work as well in Lesotho, Southern Africa.
