Description
The name Technical Services has been used by Julian Kemp as a trading name since the 1970’s, initially as a spare time occupation providing Public Address hire for local outside events at weekends and holidays. In 1986 he decided to leave his full time employment with a Norwegian owned electronics company installing and servicing Language Laboratory systems and turn his hobby into a full time business.
Initially a substantial amount of Language Laboratory service work was undertaken for both Hampshire and Dorset County Councils but over the years this has tailed off as the PA side of the business has become more and more established.
Over the years an extremely comprehensive stock of outside hire equipment has been built up allowing a full range of diverse events to be catered for. Locally these include the Southsea Show, Great South Run, Kite Festival, Civic Events in the Guildhall Square, the Lord Mayors Show, Cutty Sark Tall Ships etc. As an adjunct to the event PA Two Way Radio Hire was added to the services offered from the mid 80’s. In addition to the outside events concert type sound systems for bands, orchestras, musical productions etc has gradually been added to the itinerary providing a high quality provision where required. We also supply stage lighting, trussing, staging, sets and power distribution for all types of productions.
