Title
Welcome - Bienvenue - Telile Community Television (Isle Madame, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia)
Description
TELILE - Isle Madame Community Television was established in 1994 and is a not-for-profit community channel serving 12,000 households in Richmond County and eastern Cape Breton. Our station is located in Arichat, Nova Scotia, on the south-east coast of Cape Breton.
Silver Donald Cameron, our founding chairman, summarizes our role in the community well. He says; "You can't participate if you don't know what's going on, you can't have real community, and you can't have real democracy, if you don't have communications. Telile's role is to make sure that people here do know what's going on, and do know how they can participate. That's what Telile is all about."
