Started in 1997, for the Tamil-speaking people of Chicago and the surrounding suburbs to glorify God, we value our Indian culture and impart a good Christian environment for our children and youth. We are striving to be the kind of church described in the Bible — in praising, worshiping, honoring the Spiritual Gifts (I Cor 12:4-11), Christian fellowship (Acts 2:47), persistent intercessory prayer, searching of scriptures, encouraging our children, supporting ministries and compassionate care for those in need.
Tamil United Church of Christ was formed with the intention of serving the spiritual needs of the Tamil Community around Chicago and in India. Tamil UCC is a young and energetic community. Children have fun learning God’s love through bible stories, worship, songs, crafts and games. Adults enjoy the wonderful Christian fellowship through bible study, night prayer, weekly gatherings and excellent Tamil worship service.
We actively strive to do our Christian duties through prayer, fasting, worship, ministry, giving and bible study. We gladly welcome everyone.
